This shoot was completely spontaneous. I got home from working my day job to find out it had snowed, which is rare enough for Oklahoma, but also in a generous amount enough to completely cover the ground. With daylight quickly fading, I had no outfit or shoot planned, but knew we had to take advantage of this opportunity. I threw something together and am very happy with the end result.
Being barefoot in the snow is always terrible (I’m sensitive to temperature but grin and bear it for art’s sake), but I’m glad we did it. The next day all of the snow had already melted, almost completely, except for some sad muddy spots.
My favourite of the photos (all that we released to the public) were also edited a different way, in what we titled “Winter Edits”. This marks the official beginning of releasing shoots in different editions. I had done this previously with individual images, but never on a large scale.
